Meals: Some meals would be included, as time and energy permit, if you choose to stay in my home or there are local restaurants .
Airports: You have a choice between Tucson, Mesa (Allegiant Air) and Phoenix Sky Harbor
•There is an airport shuttle 520-426-1925, cost is around $70 per person each way
•Uber (really easy and safe if you use your smart phone app or I can assist with a local uber driver) Cost is about $47 per person each way
Note: Florence is about 1 hr between Tucson & Phoenix & 1/2 hr from Mesa Airport. If you want to rent a car, Tucson is usually an easier drive.
Some of the areas we will explore:
•Using different textures to create distance
•Firing for texture
•Adding watercolor paper texture to glass
•Conserving glass & how to work thinner and smarter!
•Tools of the trade.....from paintbrush to palette knife and more.
•Mounting Wall Panels
•Marketing Tips and More
Note to new students....I don't waste a lot of class time with testing. Testing is valuable but I believe hands-on is more important.
If desired, I will send you testing and beginning exercises in advance so you can prepare and hit the ground running. A Painting background is helpful but no worries if you don't have it.....that can be taught! I work exclusively in Bullseye 90coe glass. If you're a 96 person, I have a transition chart that shows close equivalents.
No glass or painting experience needed!
